Stop & assess
The monitor is a tool, not the patient. A scary tracing on a comfortable, talking patient is often artifact or a loose lead — and a normal-looking rate can hide a patient in shock. Treat the patient, not only the monitor.
Educational use only. This interactive guide supports learning and NCLEX preparation. It does not replace clinical training, supervised practice, institutional policy, provider orders, or current resuscitation guidelines. A rhythm strip never replaces a full patient assessment — always treat the patient, follow your facility's protocols, and practice within your scope. All waveforms, wording, memory aids, and questions here are original.
